Default Warhammer 40k MMO(?)

There isn't much real meat and potatoes on this game, just interviews and the wiki page.

From the way it sounds, which is very open to interpretation I would think that perhaps if they do a spin on a FPS or third person perspective shooter it might just work. The game is only classified as MMO the later portion has yet to be delivered. In my opinion I believe the game should deliver on several key features if it wants to succeed.

-Must be on a galactic scale, there's many planets in the Warhammer 40k universe and at least a handful of them should be accounted for.

-Planetside style battle environments, I think a nice hub like over world with constant battle spots abound that require no instancing to get into would be very nice. With squad like combat though, I believe that in most cases it will instead become a question of hosted servers and the like. Probably a system similar to Huxley's in which you group up then are given access to the battlegrounds.

-Third person shooting with cover system, or full out FPS. In a game thats going to be an MMO, I'd prefer third person as good or near as good as Gears of War (just an off the top of my head example of clean and very responsive cover system). I want third person mainly because I'd like to see the armor of my character, I believe many others would feel the same way.

-The game mentions squad like combat, well I'd have to settle on something between Battlefield 2/2142. If they can simulate objectives and not have them be the plain old blow up this/defend this, then that'd be nice.

-Since the game isn't fully PvP or PvE, it should satisfy both. Simply put most third person and FPS's nowadays have a great single player and an equally great multiplayer experience, the same should be replicated for an MMO.

As long as Space Marines and Chaos Marines are not playable, I'll be happy. Considering it's being done in an RPG format, they would simply end up being too powerful compared to anything else. Personally, I would prefer it if they stayed away from militaristic forces, and instead made it more like Inquisitor. Small, more varied groups of people, rogue traders and the like. Add in races to have small Ork groups, Eldar Pirates, etc.
